In der immersiven Spielanordnung geraten die Zuschauer*innen in die Welt von 2039. Diese Welt zeigt die Konsequenzen unseres heutigen Handelns auf. Um aus dieser dystopischen Welt zwischen Klimawandel und einem totalitären System wieder heraus zu kommen, müssen sich die Zuschauer*innen einen Transitschein besorgen, der gleichzeitig bestimmt in welche Zukunft die Reise weitergeht. In einer Mischung aus analogem Video Game und Gesellschaftsspiel werden die Zuschauer*innen zu Protagonist*innen, die mit ihren Spielzügen, den Verlauf der zukünftigen Geschichte bestimmen. Sie entscheiden, ob wir diese verzocken oder die Faktenlage für die Welt, in der wir leben wollen, schaffen.
Das Projekt FutureLeaks ist der Aufruf, die zukünftige Geschichte vorauszudenken und mit unserem heutigen Handeln positiv voraus zu schreiben.

„FutureLeaks- Escape Dystopia“ is an escape room, which combines performance, political art and social interaction. „Escape Dystopia“ got carried out to public in june 2019 it took place in an abandoned store area in a shopping center in the heart of Neukölln. The performance threw visitors into the underground world of the year 2039, when fundamental ecological problems devastated vast parts of the world, which would be a direct consequence of (in)-actions on vast ecological problems of the present. Participants needed to organize in that destroyed world they landed in a Transitschein to go back in the present. By resolving tasks, given by the performers, such as a casino for resolving moral dilemmas, face-to-face inquiries and formulating news for a more sustainable future, the participants had to „earn“ their release from the dystopian scenario, they found themselves in.
“Those who have managed to come back to the present have drawn up an action plan on how to avoid the destroyed future they have just experienced.”
